Competitive Pay
You can find our 2023 full-time wage schedules by clicking here. Previous experience, Military time, etc, are considered for initial placement on the pay scale. Increments are earned every six months until reaching the maximum pay step. You will also receive comprehensive training at your full starting salary. At top pay our Road Patrol Deputies can earn up to $83,301 when including Holiday Pay, Hazard Pay and Uniform Allowance!

Our Law Enforcement staff are eligible to select from a variety of Macomb County’s medical, dental and vision insurance benefits. All with no monthly premium for our employees to cover themselves and eligible family members with coverage that begins on their first day of employment.
Uniform Allowance
As a Macomb County law enforcer, you represent Macomb County, so we offer an annual uniform allowance, ranging from $420 - $875, and Dry Cleaning/Laundry service to keep you looking sharp.
Work/Life Balance
Our new Deputies, Corrections Deputies, and Dispatchers can all earn up to 42 days off per year! Specifically earning 15 Paid Time Off Days, 14 ½ paid Holidays (15 ½ in a General Election year), and 12 Sick Leave days. After five years of service, you will earn an additional 5 Paid Time Off days.

How to Apply
When applying for a career with the Macomb County Sheriff's Office, potential employees will submit an application to the Civil Service Commission. Applications can be submitted in person or via email. For complete details, visit the Civil Service Commission webpage.
